Research Interests:  I'm studying the plant genus Penstemon, which has experienced parallel shifts in floral pollination syndrome.  My research goals are to characterize the developmental and genomic basis of these complex shifts in order to understand the mechanisms underlying parallel shifts in complex adaptive traits.
